brilliant, but they squeak4
Shoes are well constructed, light, superbly comfortable. The mesh bits on the side keep your feet breathing. My only complaint is that after you've worn them for a week or so, they start squeaking. The rear sole contains a layer of air, as it compacts with use, those two layers begin rubbing together and make an awful squeak. If it doesn't bother you, then they are amazingly comfortable. I wear them despite the noise, but it does get on my nerves. Other than the noise they are fantastic.

Strong shoe4
This is a great shoe which is strong, sturdy and durable. I bought it on sale knowing that the top portion was a different color and thought it wouldnt matter. However wearing it, i think i would have preferred the top to be the same color or another shade of brown. In any event, the shoe is good but as with any NEW shoe (because i wore it without socks)it gave me a blister on the back of my heel. However after wearing socks with it from then on, it was good.

Great Product4
This is a great shoe to wear around the house or on the boat. As all sperries must be worn without socks, this shoe took a little while to get adjusted to and worn in properly. Once in proper shape, these shoes were great. Although I prefer the more traditional and formal original topsiders, these are great for working in or just relaxing. I had to order one size smaller than normal to get the perfect fit however, so beware of the sizing issue.

I have purchased Sperry Top-Sider Deck Shoes for over 40 years and these are the best deck shoes I have owned. They are extremely confortable and the first time I wore them my foot molded to the shoe. It was not necessary for a break-in period like most shoes.

I brought a pair of these shoes while in the States three years ago. They are simply the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. The memory cushion inner provides support and impact resistance either with or without socks.After three years of constant wear during evenings and week ends both on and off boats the only sign of wear was to the inner lining. I would recommend them to anyone.

Sperry quality always there.
The Sperry Topsider Defender is another example of their first-rate quality standards. Unfortunately I had to return them for another make
because the shape of the shoe didn't match the shape of my foot. For a foot that is relatively straight I would recommend it highly.

A durable and very comfortable shoe. Ordered size 10W. Got size 9.5W in a box labeled 10W. Shipment was fast. Customer service was responsive. The return process went well. I will buy this shoe again through Amazon. But the shoe seller has got to check the shoes in the box before delivery.

30-40 Year veteran
My new Topsiders have a better initial fit than all my previous pairs. I guess being produced in China has slightly changed the dimensions, in my case to the better.

This pair is the two-toned version (brown & black) which are best for traveling as they will go with any color clothing. They used to have another travel advantage as after 9/11 they were the only pair of shoes you didn't have to remove at airport security. The TSA folks knew they had no arch support and wouldn't set off the metal detectors. Unfortunately, during the last year the TSA now insist all shoes go through the x-ray machine.

I have owned many pair in the past several decades including the Gold Cup (which are the most comfortable with the best support - although a bit pricey) and this is the first pair that make my feet black when not wearing socks. Evidently, the dye they are now using is not colorfast. They have not been wet or worn on the water yet, they have only been worn in an urban environment. Hopefully, with age they will stop bleeding.

Otherwise, if they can correct the dye problem, they appear to be well constructed even though they are now made in China.

A classic...
What can I say? Sperry Topsiders are a classic. My husband owns a sailboat, and these shoes are perfect for being on the boat, at a boating event, or just out to a casual dinner. Like a pair of jeans, they look right everywhere, and will last forever.

Great quality and wonderful color
I bought these shoes for my husband's Christmas gift. He loves them and is particularly pleased at the color mix of brown and black, very tastefully put together and can equally well go with both brown, tan and black trousers.
The service from the seller was excellent.
